In 2018, trends are changing and brides are swapping the matte look for a dewy glow that simply radiates! We understand the impact that your skin can have on your special day – it’s the most important day of your life so understandably you want to look and feel your best. Don’t fret, brides, as today we’re talking all about how you can achieve healthy-looking skin that will turn heads…

Skin Routine

Establishing a skin routine is absolutely vital when it comes to getting clear, glowing skin. Get to know your skin type and find a routine that suits you and stick to it religiously. We recommend starting a skin routine at least six months before your special day so that it’s got time to start working. Cleanse, tone and moisturise both morning and night as the bare essentials, but it’s also important to exfoliate up to three times a week. You will see a huge difference and your skin will certainly thank you.

Top Tip Chuck away those face wipes immediately and swap for micellar water instead.

Hydrate

When it comes to healthy and happy skin, hydration is key! Often overlooked, consuming 6 – 8 glasses of water a day will work absolute wonders on your skin and it’ll instantly add that hydrated look that’ll give you a gorgeous glow.

Top Tip Limit the number of boiling hot showers and baths you have as they will strip your skin of the essential and natural oils that it needs to look healthy. Cooler, shorter showers are a much better option if you want to avoid dry, dehydrated skin that looks dull and lifeless.

Make-Up

Find make-up that suits your skin, providing you with the bridal look that you want. For a dewy make-up look, I would recommend using a variety of cream-based products rather than powders. It’s also worth investing in a primer to set your make-up and create a smooth base, while using cream highlighter to give your skin a subtle shimmer. I suggest using highlighter along the top of your cheekbones, down your nose and on your cupid’s bow. You can also use along your brow bone if you want to go all out with your wedding make-up.

Top Tip I will arrange an in-depth consultation to get to know your skin type, so we can choose the products that enhance your skin to create the perfect bridal look.
